A month later...

So, I had to stop my second round of the Isagenix 30 day cleanse because 1) I got sick and 2) I really wasn't feeling the new products I decided to try (I did a review of the Isalean Savory Tomato Soup and Isalean Chocolate Cream Crisp bars here).

It's been about a month since I've been off Isagenix and I can tell you it REALLY makes a difference-- health wise, anyway. My migraines started to return this week. I've also started getting tired throughout the day again. And though my insomnia hasn't returned per se, I don't sleep as well as when I was on Isagenix.

I'm very happy to report that I have not gained a single pound since I've been off. Though I didn't go right back to junk food, I have been eating "normally". So, it's really good to know that the results are somewhat lasting.

I've ordered the good ol' vanilla and chocolate shakes this week and will get right back on the wagon when they come in! I gotta say, I miss the strict regiment!

Round Two; Week Five

I'm back! So, here are the results of the first week of the second round of Isagenix 30 day cleanse:

  • 3 more inches
  • 2 more pounds
Since I began:

  • Pounds loss: 11
  • Inches loss: 20

I'm happy with the results because I barely worked out this week because I wasn't feeling too well. Otherwise, I did pretty well with the diet. I think by now my body is used to the limited calories so working out will be KEY in losing more weight.

Otherwise, just trucking along. I'm waiting on my new order of the Isalean soup and Isalean bars to come in... can't wait to take a break from these shakes!

- Update -

So, seeing as how I officially finished my 30 day cleanse, I'll probably only update this blog once a week with my results or if anything post-worthy comes up.

I took a couple of days off Isagenix at the urging of my boyfriend who just wanted to go to a normal dinner... But I at least substituted ONE meal during those days with a shake. I know I lost another pound around Thursday but I haven't weighed myself since.

I got a couple of friends to try out Isagenix and was sent free IsaDelight samples, so I'll do a review on that soon. I'm also going to try out the IsaLean soup and another flavor of the IsaLean bars. Since I plan to stay on the program for at least 30 more days, I'm gonna need some options-- the shakes are getting really old! Even though I signed up as an associate-- purely to get a discount off the products because it's SO expensive-- rest assured my reviews are completely based on my opinion.

Slightly noteworthy: I was checking myself out in the mirror today after I showered and noticed a significantly less amount of cellulite on the back of my thighs. I'm not sure if this is Isagenix-related, but I read on another blog that this was a side effect of her cleanse as well. It makes sense since cellulite is basically toxins trapped under your skin... Either way, I'm pretty excited about that! If you're a girl, you'll understand.

Anyway, I start back on the strict regimen tomorrow! So, as per usual, results will be posted on Monday!

*** DAY 30 ***

So, I've completed my 30 day Isagenix cleanse. YIPEE! Well, not really.

Week Four Results:

Pounds Lost: 9
Inches Lost: 17

I'm not thrilled with the results. Probably because I know I wasn't as strict with the diet as I should've been. Particularly during this last week. I let "life" take over. I'm actually surprised I didn't gain weight. I'm not really as sad as I thought I'd be, either.  I think because I know I'm on the right track and I know that Isagenix is not supposed to be a weight loss program. It's a health program. 9lbs in one month is a lot; a lot more than I could've accomplished on my own. Technically, women typically lost 1-2lbs a week. The inches loss mean a lot more than the pounds because that's the reason my clothes fit better.

Moreover, I view this program as more of a lifestyle change rather than a strict diet. No, I didn't do it perfectly but you can't necessarily but birthday parties and family parties on hold in real life. There is a time and place to indulge and you shouldn't beat yourself up about. All you can do is make sure you get right back on the wagon the next day-- and that's what I did.

I'm continuing on with the program for at least 2 weeks before I take a "break" and eat real food regularly. Honestly, this regiment is so scheduled down to the minute that I'd probably miss all my alarms going off telling me when to eat and what to eat!

I'll weigh in one more time tomorrow morning for my "Final" results with the 30 day program.

DAY TWENTY NINE - CLEANSE DAY

I'm still struggling with discipline... This cleanse day has been difficult from start to finish. I'm not sure if I'm just really missing solid food or because some of my cravings have returned (woman problems). I ended up forgoing my last two snacks of the day and eating half of one of my IsaLean bars.

I feel fine now, but I'm still noticeably hungry. I'll probably have to sleep it off to get through the rest of the day. Tomorrow is the last day of my first 30 days. I'm not expecting any great results on the scale, given this week of indulgence. Plus, I can already tell I'm extremely bloated, even with the cleansing.

We'll see how it goes...

DAY TWENTY EIGHT

DAY TWENTY SEVEN

I'm feeling a little discipline-challenged these last couple of days. Yesterday was ROUGH. I've also had numerous events going on so working out has been difficult to keep on schedule. It's day 27, so technically I only have 3 days left on my first 30 days. Luckily, I'm prepared for my second round because this last week has been so distracting and off-schedule.
